Saudades remains one of Nana Vasconcelos's most singular recordings - a record that places berimbau, voice and percussion inside a rich orchestral frame shaped with Egberto Gismonti. First released in 1980, it moves with the freedom of jazz and the depth of Brazilian music, but never feels crowded or overly grand. O Berimbau sets the tone with patient intensity, while Ondas and Cego Aderaldo open the album further into spacious, deeply textured terrain.SIDE ONE:1. O Berimbau2. Vozes (Saudades)SIDE TWO:1. Ondas (Na Ohlos De Petronila)2. Cego Aderaldo3. Dado
