Ian Hunter's 1975 solo debut still sounds like a clean break made with the amps left on. The songs keep the swagger and piano-led punch, but the writing is leaner, stranger and more personal than straight glam nostalgia. This 50th anniversary red vinyl pressing puts the spotlight back on 'Once Bitten Twice Shy', while 'Boy' and 'The Truth, The Whole Truth, Nuthin' But The Truth' show how wide Hunter could stretch a rock record without losing momentum.SIDE ONE:1. Once Bitten Twice Shy2. Who Do You Love3. Lounge Lizard4. BoySIDE TWO:1. 3,000 Miles From Here2. The Truth, The Whole Truth, Nuthin' But The Truth3. It Ain't Easy When You Fall4. Shades Off5.
