Bring the tropics into your home with this unusual curly fern (Nephrolepis). Thanks to its downy, brown rhizomes and its beautiful upright leafstalks, it has a unique appearance. Besides giving your home a tropical atmosphere, it also purifies the air!

The Nephrolepis does well in a light/sunny spot. In this it is special, because many other fern species are much less fond of the sun. The fern also has fewer humidity requirements. These characteristics make it an 'easy' fern. However, it does dislike the cold. It is important to avoid temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius. Like other ferns, the houseplant also likes a lot of water, so make sure the soil is constantly moist. Be careful not to leave a layer of water in the pot! The fern is not toxic to children or pets.
