The Chlorophytum Atlantis is a popular houseplant, especially because it is incredibly easy to take cuttings from. Its nickname is also Grass Lily because of its green and white striped leaves. The Chlorophytum is one of the best air fresheners you can get in the house. According to NASA research, this plant is very good at removing the harmful substances benzene, formaldehyde and carbon monoxide from the air. Up to 95% of all substances in the air!

The Chlorophytum is not difficult to care of. It prefers a light place, but it will also do fine in the shade. The plant likes to be watered twice a week and sprinkled once a week, but if you forget to water once a week, that is no problem either. The leaves of the Chlorophytum can turn yellow relatively quickly. Unfortunately this is part of the plant. It is best to cut these leaves off as close to the ground as possible. The Chlorophytum is also very easy to take cuttings from, as the cuttings literally grow on the mother plant. You can cut them off and place them in fresh potting soil to grow a new plant!
