Succulents store water in their roots, stems or leaves, so they require little water. This is beneficial as they are common in warm areas with extended dry periods. This makes succulents’ ability to store water vital in nature, and it makes them one of the easiest houseplants to care for at home. They are ideal houseplants if you don’t have a green thumb, or often forget to water your plants. Succulents are easy plants to look after, they require almost no attention and maintenance. Succulents require almost no watering. Too little water is better than too much. Let the plant's soil dry completely in between waterings before giving the plant another splash. Succulents like a bright spot, but can also survive well in a shadier spot. Make sure that the plants are not accessible for children or pets as succulents can be poisonous.
