The Calatehea 'Fusion White' is not only a gorgeous plant, it is also a rare one! It is not often that we see a Calathea with white variegation. The Calathea 'Fusion White' is guaranteed to steal the show in any interior with its stunning leaves! The Calathea is originally from the South-American jungle where they grow in the shade of larger plants and trees. This makes them perfect for a darker spot in the house. Calathea is also known as ‘The Living Plant’, because they close their leaves in the evening to open them again in the morning. If you’re very quiet you can even hear the rustling!

The Calathea is a true shade plant, so it is important that it does not get too much light. When the plant gets too much light, the leaf markings can fade. Because of its tropical origin, the Calathea requires high humidity. You can give the plant a little lukewarm water 2-3 times a week, as the potting soil should always be slightly moist. In winter, you can reduce this to once a week. To prevent root rot, it is important that no layer of water forms at the bottom of the pot. Therefore, always feel the soil first with your fingers before watering.
