The Phalaenopsis, also known as the moon orchid or moth orchid, originates from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, the Philippines, and Australia, where it mainly grows on trees. The moth orchid is incredibly popular – and it’s easy to see why. It produces elegant flowers in beautiful colours, is easy to care for, and blooms for up to three months. In addition, the Phalaenopsis is one of the few species that forms multiple flower stems each year. This set of 3 includes orchids with white, pink, and purple flowers, creating a stylish and colourful eye-catcher in any home.
The Phalaenopsis orchid prefers a daytime temperature of 20–22°C and a minimum night temperature of 16°C. Place it in a bright spot, but avoid direct sunlight to prevent yellowing leaves. If the leaves turn dark green or flower buds drop, the plant is getting too little light. Water through the soil, not into the crown, or briefly submerge the pot in water once a week. Use special orchid soil and apply orchid fertiliser monthly for longer blooming and healthy growth.
