Lucky Bamboo is not really bamboo, it is actually stems from the Dracaena Sanderiana of the lily family. The Lucky Bamboo has a long history in China and the Far East with a strong connection to Feng Shui. According to Feng Shui teachings, Lucky Bamboo brings positive energy into any room. In Asia, people buy Lucky Bamboo for the New Year, to celebrate an opening or simply for positivity and happiness. Lucky Bamboo is very durable, all they need is water and it will last a long time.

Lucky Bamboo is usually sold in water, but in its natural habitat it grows in the ground. The water the Lucky Bamboo is in should be changed every 2 weeks. Lucky Bamboo is often described as a low-light houseplant. The branches do best in low to medium light conditions. Keep it out of hot, direct sun to avoid burnt leaves. It is important to keep the temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius, slightly warmer is also acceptable. Please note that Lucky Bamboo is toxic to pets and should be kept out of their reach.
