The steak plant prefers a spot with lots of light, but without direct sunlight. For example, the perfect spot is in front of a north-facing window. It is important that the soil of the plant is always slightly moist, but make sure that no layer of water remains at the bottom of the pot. In fact, this can cause root rot. It is best to water the plant in small amounts at a time. In winter, the plant needs little water.
